After acquiring assets from Shell in late 2006, SPOL has increased capacity by building additional 8.4 million litre of storage facilities at its Point Cruz Terminal. 

Based on our relationship with fuel suppliers in the region, we have the flexibility to respond to shifts in demand quickly, ensuring we meet local product specifications. 

Better systems, advanced technology and pioneering processes ensure SPOLs operations are always efficient – covering everything from delivery logistics to point of sale equipment. To achieve this, our employees hold a variety of licences and undergo continuous training, dependent on the roles they play, which includes: 

• Queensland Defensive Driving;
• Queensland Fire Fighting and Rescue;
• Permit to Work Systems;
• Confined Space Entry;
• Asset Management;
• Oil Spill Level Two;
• Gas Testing;
• Discharging of Medium Range Tankers to IMO Standards;
• Quality Control of Fuels; and
• Aviation Quality Control.

Quality control mechanisms are built into SPOL’s Management Systems to achieve, monitor and maintain quality standards of all processes and products. This includes work instructions, competency based assessments & observations. 

SPOL understands first-hand the need to be consistently supplied with on specification fuel. As part of our network, Solomon Power will receive the same level of commitment that we hold ourselves internally for product quality and technical support services. 

Our Fuels and Lubricants specialist can advise on all matters relating to fuel quality, filtration, additives and handling. Product testing is undertaken in accordance with Industry standards throughout the supply chain process in order to ensure quality standards are maintained. 

Our Quality Policy and Quality Control Procedure are available upon request. 

SPOL warrants that the quality and chemical composition of the product supplied will meet the quality specifications as detailed in our product specification. The Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) on all the products we sell can also be provided for request. 

All Quality Control (QC) tests that are carried out throughout the supply chain are cross checked and verified against the suppliers original Certificate of Quality (COQ) to check for changes that might have occurred and to ensure that products continue to remain on specification until cleared for delivery to our customers. Our processes and la equipment’s are audited by Intertek annual to American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM).
